The Academy for International Movement Studies

The Academy for International Movement Studies will be based in the Kazavati region of Thassos, Greece.
Application deadline is June 8, 2011.

This is a very exciting opportunity for students to live, learn and travel abroad with the ability to express their passion of dance and other artistic pursuits in the performance arena. Young dancers/movers/artists and the artistically curious will gain international exposure while being facilitated under the umbrella of an academic atmosphere.

Thassos, Greece was carefully chosen for our program due to the fact that it is the only island that lies close enough to mainland Greece to allow the academy to take excursions to many archaeological sites and beautiful cities that are spread throughout Northern Greece (Macedonia).

In the mornings, technique classes are scheduled at the amphitheater. During the day we will have regular academic classes. The evenings are when our rehearsals are planned. One day a week will be dedicated to excursions and volunteer work.
